After Hours — chapter one

He found her at the bar after closing, and his hand stayed at the small of her back the whole time they talked. When the music came back on, she asked him for the last dance.

vio is a writing app. You start on a blank page and write as much of the story yourself as you like. When you want help, ask the AI for a draft or a rewrite, and it will illustrate the scene in whatever look you've picked. Choose the uncensored illustration model and both the writer and the illustrator stop filtering, so a mature scene comes out the way you wrote it. vio also keeps track of your characters and what has already happened between them, so chapter twelve still matches chapter one.

The editor

One page, everything in one place.

The vio editor: the story's outline, the prose and its illustration, and the chat beside them, where you say what happens next

The illustrations

Choose your story's look. Or invent one.

Every illustration follows your chosen aesthetic, chapter after chapter.

The same lighthouse scene as a cinematic photoreal shot, the bearded keeper rowing through storm swell

Continuity

Chapter 2. Chapter 9. Chapter 14. Same face.

The same character at a desert dig at golden hour, brush in hand, ladders descending into the cut
Chapter 2
The same character on a misty night railway platform, reading a timetable by lamplight, a sleeping train behind her
Chapter 9
The same character on an icebreaker's deck in a snowstorm, gripping a frosted railing
Chapter 14

vio keeps characters, settings, and lore consistent across prose and artwork.

  2. She asks him to stay until morning
  3. She lets him go without a name

The next chapter

You decide what happens. vio writes it with you.

Questions

Can I write adult fiction for free?
Yes. vio gives you a free allowance of AI writing and pictures every day. If you need more, a paid plan raises it.
Is the writing really uncensored?
Yes, if you pick the uncensored illustration model. With that on, the writer and the illustrator both stop filtering, and the story comes out the way you wrote it. It's for readers over 18.
Does vio keep a long mature story consistent?
Yes. vio keeps a record of who your characters are and what has happened between them, and each new chapter is written against that record. Something you set up in chapter two still holds in chapter twenty.
